NVCI – Part 1 – Online Curriculum

This training is offered through a blended model containing an online portion and an in-person workshop. You must complete the online portion and pickup a hardcopy of the workbook prior to attending the in-person workshop. You will receive an email with details closer to the training date.

The online curriculum introduces you to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, specifically Verbal Intervention. You will learn to recognize the stages of an escalating crisis and evidence-based techniques to appropriately de-escalate.

NVCI – Part 2 – In-person Learning via Zoom

This training is offered through a blended model containing an independent online portion and an in-person workshop. You must complete the online portion and pickup a hardcopy of the workbook prior to attending the in-person workshop. You will receive an email with details closer to the training date.

In this workshop you will apply the knowledge you acquired in the online learning and customize that to your work with DDRC and the population we support.  Through discussion, activities and case scenarios you will explore all the factors that can cause a situation to escalate and how to functionally apply your knowledge to de-escalate.

 

Disclaimer: If a registrant cannot attend a course they must cancel via email ([email protected]) at least 2 business days prior to the commencement of the course.  Failure to provide the 2 business days’ notice will result in a $50 fee to the registrant.
